The next chapter begins

I know. Kind of a cheesy title. But I had to start writing somewhere.

If you made it to this, you have an idea what what I am working on. Many are asking, “where are the bees? What about Love of Honey?” The bees are fine. They are being managed by friends who helped as I went through all the personal and medical stuff. More of that later.

Love of Honey is coming back this fall. It went into storage after we moved out of the apple barn. Loved the store and commercial kitchen, but there was no climate control, so we either burned up or froze with a few nice weeks in spring and fall. The owner wanted me to buy or move out. No middle ground. So she forced us out so she could sell it. Six months later it sits empty and dilapidated.

LoH is moving production a facility that can handle large orders. I am not going to create new products for a bit. With over 100 products, most original to LoH, I am going to focus on sales and wholesale distribution. This means a lot of travel and ties in nicely with this photo project.

What is Photographic America? This started as an idea 13 years ago. I wanted to spend 30+ days photographing Route 60 from Virginia Beach to California. Driving 100 miles a day. Photographing the roots of America in all it’s beauty and flaws.

Life never allowed it. I was a Dad to two amazing teenagers. There was little or no money and I had bills to pay. Today I am still a Dad, but they are adults living their amazing lives. There is still little money, but I’ve gotten used to living that way, and my bills are just a few items. So perfect time to hit the road, do sales, and get back into my love of photography.

So please sign up for the news letter. If you can spare a donation, hit the tab above. $5 $10 or whatever. Fuel alone for an 8,000 mile journey will be close to $3,000. Yikes!

Love everyone!

PS. For those asking. My health is much better. This past week I was taken off yet another drug and my BP and sugar are lower. I’ve lost 60 pounds in 10 months. Is that a word?
